Eye wash/face wash nozzle: discharge rate and discharge height and width

When: The installed eye washer only has the function of eye washing, after the eye washer is started, the flushing solution shall be automatically ejected within 1s or less time. The continuous use time shall not be less than 15min, and the flow rate of the washing liquid shall be at least 1.5L/min.

When: The eye wash nozzle also has the function of eye wash/face wash, the flow rate of eye wash solution should be at least 11.4L/min, and the duration should not be less than 15min

The edge width of the water column above the nozzle less than 200mm should be between the minimum 32mm and the maximum 82.5mm.

Spray: discharge flow and width

When the spray is started, the flush should be sprayed automatically within 1s or less time.

The sprayer shall supply the flushing solution at a flow rate of at least 76L/min and maintain continuous flushing for at least 15min.

The height of the sprinkler should be between 2,080mm and 2,440mm.

At a distance of 1,520mm from the user’s standing plane, the spray range diameter shall be 510mm at the minimum, and the dispersion form of the rinse solution shall always be consistent and fully dispersed

Area layout of eye wash

Emergency spray and eye washing equipment should be installed in the area that operators can reach within 10 seconds (generally, when people walk at a normal pace, 10 seconds can cover an average of 15 meters).

The eye wash should be installed on the same plane as the potentially hazardous area. At the same time, it should be considered to avoid obstacles in the route to the equipment.
